The function of the osteopath in the field of sports medicine is actually that of accident prevention: many of the pathologies of sportsmen, in fact, manifest themselves under stress, but also when the athlete is at rest. For the amateur sportsman the osteopathic and postural examination involves the analysis of the effect of a particular sport on the overall posture or at the start of the competitive activity.
